4:11 pm	yes, i finally updated since everyone left, its been really quiet around here...and once again, my level of physical activity has reached its usual level of 0. today we had some guests over for lunch ... lotsa little kids who clung to me and one little boy who was completely infatuated w/ me haha it was adorable. we played w/ waterguns outside and kept shooting at eachother. it was fun...a kind of fun that is so wonderfully innocent and playful. i really cherish little things like that. anyways, iv earned close to a thousand dollars now from working...i guess i dont mind my job but i certainly do mind waking up at 7ish every fucking weekday...its no fun at all. i did THE STUPIDEST THING the other day: i left the sunroof open in the car and it poured very conveniently after that...so my mom woke me up from my nap saying "ur in such deep trouble." at which point i was like...oh shit what did i do now? so 2 mins later i was in the car w/ all the doors closed cuz it was still pouring, and the heat on full blast, trying to dry the seats w/ a buncha rags. i walked out 10 mins later sweating (yes, i was ACTUALLY feeling uncomfortably hot) leaving the car w/ a damp interior behind me. it was overall not a very pleasurable experience... things i am looking forward to: 1. florida! 2. wedding #1 (aug) 3. college 4. wedding #2 (sept) 5. finding mr. perfect :) 6. designing my dormroom 7. india trip! to my cousins and my second uncle :) : i miss u guys soooo much! cant wait till our next minireunion! ... and that's about it ... luv, manasi Current Mood: contemplative (3 Comments |Comment on this)

10:33 pm	my ultrafabulous wkend well, this past wkend was just beyond awesome... on friday: i hadda wake up early in the mornin, 830 to be precise, to pick up nikhil from the airport. that was entirely too painful. then all of us (surbhi, vee, ulka, nikhil, n i) went to uva in the afternoon just to chill. it was tonsa fun and not to mention ... nice n hot :). in the evenin sahar came over n we just chatted n all. after that, ultimate frisbee which was amazin...especially since my team kicked ass :). then we played poker n other stuff after dinner. on saturday: we all woke up early to get ready for six flags. it was soooooooooo much fun. scorchin heat, water rides, n roller coasters (for the non-wooses) :). we got back at like 7 n then played frisbee n basketball till it was too dark to even c the ball anymore. after that we had dinner n played games. some memorable taboo memories include: chemicals, gaurav's great chinese immitation, vibrate, bladder, n asshead today has been a shitty shitty day. first we dropped of a.d.d. at the airport. then we just sorta hung around/napped all day b/c it was too muggy to do anythin. after that, school of rock (pretty good movie), table tennis (which i played pathetically today for some reason), papa johns pizza w/ jalapenos (yum yum), n fireworks. the whole highway just came to a complete stop cuz everyone was watchin fireworks so we actually got outa the car n just watched. some extremely drunk ppl were singin the naitonal anthem from the balconies above us. so yea, that was def an experience. 8:06 pm	summer so far summer's been fun so far...lotsa sleepin, eatin, n chillaxin n general...here's what iv done so far: went out w/ sahar, gill, n christine to ffx corner (DE LUX :)) to hang out...oh btw, potbelly's has the greatest pizza subs ... then we went to c stepford wives (movie = eh...not bad) ... then glory days and a DREAMY brownie sundae... the next day, thai food at sakuntra's...gets better everytime then on saturday...my grad party...sooooo much fun w/ sahar, gill, christine, their fams n some other ppl :) ... got lotsa really cute gift (including a jeannie poster, a jeannie pic frame from sahar (custom made ;), a HUGE message board, a really cute msg board from gill (custom made as well ;), a very sexy shirt from express, AND tonsa money n gift certificates ... overall id say, not a bad set of gifts :) the next day ... father's day...ugh i woke up at like 9 in the mornin cuz my mom was makin breakfast in bed for him (on behalf of us...makes me feel kinda bad :( ) ... anyways, i gave him the pinkfloyd shirt n then i made my way back to bed...(w/ 4 freakin hrs of sleep)...but alas, i was never destined to sleep b/c my dad feels the need to storm into my room, flip on the lites, n yell "dont waste ur day away sleepin"..."but dad...!"..."no! up now!" ... UGH... well the day got much better...paid brad, orlando, n hector a visit at troy (but we hadda walk out of the movie to go pick up my little sis...very not happy about that part)...then watched a marathi movie (part 1) then on monday...library, bank, scrapbook...then finished the marathi movie...hard to understand at times but really good stuff on tues, watched my fiance in star wars, mall, icecream at kohr bros (new flavor out: triple berry! sooo good :) then on weds...first part of next marathi movie, walk w/ g-ma, chillin w/ reem, shoppin spree @ bath n body works sale w/ sahar, ulka, n the fam ...and today, uva stuff, comp crap, my 2 hr manicure n pedicure for g-ma n g-pa (turned out really well :) ) ... n that's basically it! phew! 1:35 pm	new livejournal! hey all! since iv really got nothin better to do over summer break, i decided to start doin a livjournal! summer's been awesome (esp cuz i dont have to wake up at some ungodly hour of the morning) :) unfortunately tho my dad feels the need to storm into my room, flip on all the lites, n yell "get up!" at like 8 in the mornin. do the words summer vacation mean nothin around here?! anyways, i dont have all of ur livejournal sns so make sure u give em to me :) manasi a.k.a. jeannie (5 Comments |Comment on this)
